Complying with the “Dress for Success” policy:
Should the need arise to work with families; the following steps are in place:

  1. There will be an initial period of transition at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. During this time period parents will receive written teacher communication if a child is not complying with “Dress for Success” expectations.
  2. Once the transition period has ended a verbal warning will be given to the student and a telephone will be made home to parent/guardian to alert them of expectations.
  3. If non-compliance continues a parent conference with Assistant Principal will be scheduled.
  4. Suspension
  5. Continued non-compliance will require the student to be kept from class and placed in in-school suspension. Parent/guardian will be required to conference with the principal before returning to class.
  6. Meeting with the Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent.

If necessary, following the first occurrence where suspension is warranted, the Principal will convene a more formal meeting with parents and District Administration to further discuss the parent/guardian commitment to the Second Hill Lane community. At this meeting, every attempt will be made to resolve the situation.
